Ready to Design Better?
InsulBlock is the solution for a cost-effective wall system to meet your building envelope code requirements, while maintaining the versatility that CMU construction has to offer. The ingenious constricted offset cross web design of the InsulBlock creates a physical thermal offset, elongating the thermal bridging on the interior of the CMU, which increases the thermal lag time and constricts the loss or gain of heat and energy. Each empty core of the InsulBlock receives an insulating, expanded polystyrene insert during construction, which also doubles as a space for structural reinforcement or a pipe chase
Thermal Efficiency
- InsulBlock is designed to have a high R-value
- Incorporates expanded polystyrene foams inserts
- Thermal mass
- Disrupted and Increased Thermal Path yielding increased Thermal Lag Time
- Made locally
- Fire-resistant
- Durable and resilient
- Available in 8ā³ and 12ā³ sizes
- All thermal performance and R Value ratings vary by block and foam densities.
- All thermal performance, U Factor and R Value ratings are done on a case by case basis by the National Brick Research Center College of Applied Sciences and Engineering at Clemson University. The National Brick Research Center utilizes ANSYS Two Dimensional Finite Element Analysis and Three Dimensional Finite Element Analysis provided in accordance with guidelines fromĀ ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1.
