Bond Beam Block
Open bottom bond beams are engineered to distribute vertical loads evenly across a masonry wall. They offer an alternative means of crack control where control joints are not desired. The bottoms are open and can accommodate steel.
Closed-bottom bond beam blocks are a type of concrete masonry unit (CMU) designed for reinforced masonry construction. These blocks are ideal for high-strength masonry walls, particularly in commercial and industrial buildings. Their closed-bottom design ensures that grout stays contained, improving the overall stability of the structure
Uses: Load-bearing walls, Lintels and headers, Retaining walls, Buildings
Actual dimensions (height and width) are minus 3/8″ less to allow for mortar.
